Having recently moved to Richmond from New York, I went to the Bebe Nails outside of the Short Pump Mall yesterday for a manicure & pedicure. My first surprise was the price, $33 is higher than I paid this summer at multiple NYC nail salons, where the going rate is $20-$25 for a manicure & pedicure. The nail polish color selection was also very limited. I should have trusted my gut instinct and left without getting my nails done. The manicure was ok, however the top coat left my nails dull with a slight gritty feeling; not that smooth, shiny finish I like. The pedicure was also ok, same issue with the top coat and the nail technician got multiple spots of polish on my flip-flops. The hand and foot massages were also not up to par since the technician wore rubber gloves the whole time, which just doesn't feel smooth during a massage. My biggest disappointment is that my manicure has already chipped! I am not hard on my nails and nothing I have done in the past 24 hours should have chipped a well done manicure. I'll be looking for another nail salon.
Pros: Good magazine selection
Cons: Just about everything, read my review for details.
