If you are phobic, remind yourself they can help with that! I took MONTHS to walk in, and when I did my knees were weak and I was violently trembling. Previous bad experiences had me terrified! Dr Lampee and his staff were able to make the experience less stressful and even enlisted the help of Jack the dog to help me stay steady. He rolls over and falls asleep on your feet while you rub his belly. Kid of hard to be terrified with so soft and sweet a little dog so relaxed on your feet like that. \r I was sent home without any painful expereinces and picked up prescriptions. Two days later I returned for work to be done, and was actually relaxed. Even though most people don't remember the experience, I have full memory, yet I was relaxed. That is very odd for me, considering how terrified I am of needles and dentist offices, but it is true. I am not ready to visit just any dentist office, but I am able to return to Dr Lampee and his staff. I highly recommend this office to anyone. more

My new dentist was relatively painless and if you ever need a tooth pulled, I highly recommend coming here. I really don't see anything they need to improve on. The service was great. Everyone was polite and answered all my questions. Thanks! more

I've NEVER been treated so rudely and coldly. Cindy and Jade may have soothing voices but watch out... they'll take a pint of blood to make sure they get the $! They must be on a bonus system for what they collect! It has taken over 60 days for them to submit my insurance claim but in the mean time more

I found Dr. Lampee in a bit of an emergency as one of my veneers had broke. I didn't yet have a dentist in Portland. I was able to get the appt confirmed on the weekend and he got me in first thing Monday morning. He made me a temporary veneer and started the process for a new one. Dr. Lampee was able to absolutely perfectly match the color and shape of the veneer. From that point on I visited for my bi-annual exams. His staff is top notch and his shot giving technique is fantastic...you don't even feel the nasty pinch. They have invested in technology to stay in touch with the latest and the office always smells nice. I 100% recommend Dr. Lampee! more

After being faced with a dental emergency, the big dental company I was insured with at the time, asked me to wait over 3 days to be seen. Finding this unacceptable, I desperately looked around. Dr. Lampee's office invited me in immediately, understood the emergency, and took care of it in a timely manner and with excellent care. Although I had no insurance applicable with Dr. Lampee at the time, I still found the care and service well worth the expense. The differences between a small local dental practice like Dr. Lampee's and the big dental corporations is simply indescribable. THANK YOU, DR. LAMPEE! more

This is the third dentist in my adult life. My first I left because his hygenist was nagging all the time. My last dentist offered premium service...heated neck pillows, massage chairs, video (and charged for it) but the premium care soon fell by the wayside and I got standard treatment, plus the were not a preferred provider on my insurance so all the difference was coming out of my pocket. \r \r I found Dr. Lampee by cross referencing my insurance directory and a Google search. My interest was piqued by his website and special offer but, boy, was I wow'd today with my initial visit. \r \r 1. I opened the office door to a warm environment and friendly greeting. Offers of beverages while waiting and friendly chatter made me feel welcome. \r 2. Dental assistant, Chelsea and hygenist, Lisa were very helpful and informative.\r 3. Dr. Lampee has a warm friendly personality and knows his dentistry. \r 4. When they were done being in my mouth I was offered a warm wet towel to wash my hands and face.\r 5. On my way out they offered me a parafin wax for my hands. \r \r Warm atmosphere and reasonable pricing. I left looking forward to my next visit. That is tough to say for going to the dentist! Complete nightmare. Went in for some minor dental work. Did unnessary dental work, damaged teeth, complete mess. Unwilling to admit mistake. Let's see where do I begin...I am a very nervous dental patient but from the the first conversation that I had with the receptionist I felt confidant in going. Once I arrived there I was completely at ease. Their front office gal was wonderful, very knowledgeable and helpful with understanding my insurance. Dr. Lampee and his assistant seemed very professional and listened to me and my concerns. He has a laser that he uses and digital x-rays that pop right up on the monitor! I knew I found a great dental office from the moment I stepped in the door. Nice art work, fresh flowers and 80's movies on the plasma screen tv. Dr. Lampee and staff were very gentle and caring and took the time to explain all of my treatment. He even used his laser on me for cosmetic gum surgery. From the minute I walked in it was a great experience. The office smelled good-not like any dentist office I've ever been to. I received a warm welcome, was offered a variety of things to drink, they had a large screen TV with a nice movie going and some children were playing with toys in the waiting room. There was the usual papers to fill out but they accepted my ODS insurance and help me with financing my out-of-pocket for my crowns and fillings. The doctor was very thorough and really put me at ease. I had my first crown and still need some more fillings but I know I will be going back until I get all of my work completed. I work nearby at NIKE so it was very convenient for me to go over on my lunch hour. I have to say the staff was also very kind, I had a blanket and got a ""paraffin dip"" for my hands while they took my x-rays. I highly recommend Dr. Lampee and his great staff.
