Beau Monde Salon

The first haircut I got at this salon was ok. The 2nd one was a disaster. Worst haircut of my life. I told the stylist what I wanted and what I did NOT want and she cut my hair how she felt like doing it with complete disregard to what we had discussed and that she seemed to understand based on her replies and questions. When she was done and the results were horrible she actually said to me, ""The first haircut you are in the driver seat. The second haircut I'm in control."" My hair is now lumpy and bumpy and uneven. It looks like I am wearing giant ear muffs and then it tapers down and flips out at the ends. It is atrocious and I'm embarrassed at how it looks. When I made this known to her and then she was trying to ""fix"" the damage she had done, she actually said to me, ""well, this is kinda awkward"". I wound up being there for 90 minutes and the end result is just terrible. I will have to grow this cut out at least a couple of months to even get it to the point where somebody else can fix it. and probably chop most of the length off. I told this woman I wanted the shortest layer to be no shorter than chin length (so at least if she messed the cut up I could wear a chin length bob!) and instead, the shortest layer is not even as long as the end of my nose. So at least a good 2 inches shorter than it should have been. And that is an example of how very exact instructions were not followed. Another example was that I told her I wanted the layers to get longer going from front of head to back, and instead they are shorter and shorter. I told her I want the layers to angle away from my face and instead my hair falls into a clump into my face. I feel like Cousin IT from the Addams Family but then add a poof at each side near the ears. And that would be how my hair was cut. more

I had great results with Jennifer. She was friendly, attentive, and timely. She listened to what type of style and wanted, and had great advice. I would definitely recommend her! more

I liked the ambience of the salon, and saw a lot of people as they were leaving and liked their hair. I liked my color as well, however I felt tricked by the person who colored it. Basically I was told by Jordan I would get a discount on a full foil for being a first time client, as it turns out, my full foil ended up only being a partial foil, and being charged full price for that partial foil. It's one thing to do a partial and charge a partial, but it is very unprofessional to say you are going to do a full foil and give a discount, act like you are doing a full foil, charge for said full foil with the discount, and think your client is dumb enough to not know that you only did a partial foil and are charging the price of a partial foil. I wanted to say something to her, but being a first time customer I didn't know how Jordan would react if I called her out, and I didn't want to make her mad as my hair was literally in her hands. Lesson learned: Don't see Jordan, not because she can't do color well, but because she was deceiving. more

I recently started going to Carisa and completely trust her with my hair. She does great color and I always walk out of there feeling so much better about myself. She does a tremendous job! It's rare to find a stylist that is personable and that you can trust. more

I have seen Christina for years now and she is absolutely amazing. I always trust her judgement and she makes my hair look fantastic. I am a dark brunette but Christina has helped take me to the blonde I have always wanted to be. My hair is so healthy and not damaged at all. I couldn't imagine seeing any other hairstylist. Pros: Clean salon, excellent staff, CHRISTINA is great! more

I have always been one who likes to do different, sometimes off the wall things with my hair. Unfortunately that has also caused a problems in the past -with other stylists. I was referred to Roxanne by my husband who has been going to Beau Monde for years and has seen Roxanne for much of 15 + years. ...so, when I had my hair colored WAY TOO BLONDE -by another stylists -not with Beau Monde -who failed to inform me I was chosing a rediculously hideous cut and color for myself- I was devastated and felt there was nothing that could be done for my very thick and course, stringy white, washed out, awkward bob I had chosen (imagine a washed out Anna Nicole with a short choppy bob! eek!! ...I didn't think there was anything or anyone that could repair the damaged look. But then...SUPER Roxanne to the rescue, that was 6 years ago and to this day I always have complete confidence when I walk through the doors of Beau Monde Salon to get my hair done with Roxanne (or anyone she refers me/us to see in her absents). THANK YOU ROXANNE!! Pros: I have complete confidence in my stylist and love the location-and Roxanne has great suggestions! Cons: I do have to plan ahead to get in and I tend to be a bit implusive when I want a change. more

I was refered to a stylist at Beau Monde about 2 years ago from a good friend. She said that Cammie was incredible at updo's and extensions. I am an esthetician, so I needed to find someone that was fantastic since I am also in the beauty industry. Pros: Fantastic long lasting results! Cons: Sometimes can be difficult to get in with! more
