This store is a treat - lots of patterns and kits available to give you ideas on what to make - as well as lots of fabric to choose from. The staff has always been very helpful for fabric selections when I've been there more

Big quilt fabric shop 5/4/2006

This store has a huge selection of quilt fabrics and also wool blend felt and other fabrics for crafts. The shop is big and is crammed with patterns, books, and samples so there's plenty to look at in the way of inspiration. They also deal in Bernina machines and I think will service other makes, too. They also offer classes in all kinds of quilt-related things. more

Lots of quilt fabric, sewing machine servicing 11/21/2005

This shop is a Bernina dealer and service center as well as being a quilt fabric store. They have tons of books and patterns and supplies and a big roster of classes. The fabrics are not arranged by color which i think would be a better way to do it but it's easy enough to see everything. Prices are top dollar but the selection is much bigger than most fabric stores ever carry. Machine servicing is good though the employees don't seem to be too familiar with their stock of parts. more

  • Bear's Paw Fabrics opened their doors in April, 1996 in Towson, MD and a year and a half later, opened the second store in Ellicott City. The name was chosen by the owners Doug and Judy Munro, because of their love of animals and bear's paw is a popular quilt pattern.


    We are a Bernina of America dealer, displaying the latest sewing and embroidery models, software and accessories to make your sewing experience the best it can be.
