Bears In The Woods

My wife and I love going to Bears in the Woods. The have a wide selection of very nice hand made Amish hardwood furniture. Even if we can't afford to buy anything we still go at least once a year to see what we want to save up for. The furniture is a bit expensive but it will last a very long time if taken care of. We plan to hand our furniture down to our kids some day (as long as they don't destroy it with permanent markers, forks or any other item they can get their hands on). The only cons I have about Bears in the Woods is that it takes a very long time to receive furniture when it is special ordered (typically 3 months). It also is a bit off the beaten path but it is a nice drive, especially in the fall. more

I called these folks about some furniture a couple of weeks ago. They had what I wanted. I asked them to put a hold on it and send me some pics. The gal said ok no problem. She also told me that there was a truck going to the same town I was in and that the pieces I wanted could go on the same truck but would not go for 3 - 4 weeks. I told her no problem and left all of my information with her. I asked her to contact me if there was a need for money down or if there were any questions or concerns. She said that the furniture wasn't going anywhere and told me she would get the photos to me in a few days. Pros: They answer the phone. Cons: Don't hold up there end of the bargain. more

Bears In The Woods has beautiful quality made furniture that will last for generations. I've made many purchases at this store and have always been very pleased with the sales people and products they sell. It's an awesome place to visit even if it is just to browse. My husband and I have gone to Bears in the Woods several times and have had great experiences each time. We are also a young couple, but have not found them to be patronizing or condescending in any way. As a matter of fact, we talked with staff about how we wished we could afford this beautiful/comfortable reclining loveseat, and the staff still pulled out catalogs to show us others that were also great, sharing their excitement for great funiture, despite the fact that they knew were not able to or planning on purchasing such an extravagant piece. The pieces we have purchased were of fantastic quality, and the selection is better than any Amish furniture store we have been to. We highly recommend this place for all your furniture needs. We also had a great experience with Bears in the Woods several years ago. We couldn't find the perfect entertainment center and, after walking around and around, the clerk helpfully showed us some in the back that had just arrived and we found the perfect match. We plan to return soon to add another piece and have no reservations doing to. more

We purchased many special orders from Bear's in the Woods. Always had a satisfying experience- Helped us ""special order ""many beautiful pieces of furniture. Pleasant drive in the beautiful countyside - sometimes we just come to browse. Plan to make a purchase of oak furniture soon. Recommend Bear's in the Woods to anyone.
