Felt a fun, inviting atmosphere when I walked in, great salsa they've got as well. Solid, courteous service impressed me. Wide range of dishes it seems, really enjoyed their enchiladas. Price isn't bad either; can walk in for a quick bite or have an elaborate several-course meal, all authentic Mexican food. Nice patio out back in the summer and a real fun bar up front, with swings! Great margaritas, and they're often doing some kind of deal on a dish or drink depending on what night I stop in. Lovely experience! more

Overpriced, even for a tourist town 7/24/2008

We've been enjoying Beanie's for years, but it was always on the pricey side, especially for Mexican food. Recently we went back and were shocked to find the prices have been raised - entrees now start at $14. While Beanie's food is good, the quantity and quality do not correlate to the expense. Port Washington has several other restaurants offering food of similar or better quality for MUCH lower prices. more

One of the best Mexican places in town 11/5/2005

Beanies is really one of the best places to get Mexican around here. They have a pretty extensive menu and the food is good. While the chimichangas and a few other items are not made there, the rest of the food is good and reasonably priced. The margaritas are yummy and the bar has "swings" to sit on. A fun place. more

I couldn't say it's really Mexican food, but it was very good. The entrees are tasteful, and not swimming in cheese or a mystery red sauce. The drinks are served up right, and the bright atmosphere is fun for a date or a group. Since your meals aren't drowned you can add salsa to tasting to spice it up your way.
