Bean & Barrel

It's not often that you find a great, well managed, cafe in the heart of Chapel Hill. This place has amazing coffee, a fabulous selection of beer and wine, great food, and down to earth friendly people. I spend a lot of time traveling around this lovely planet of ours and have never seen anything quite like the Bean & Barrel. You've got to check this place out!\r \r Stop in for a cup of coffee in the morning, check out the news on the HDTVs, read the paper in a soft leather chair. If you're in a rush, you can zip-past their drive thru window! Perhaps go back for lunch, grab a sandwich or a smoothie. After work, get ready to unwind with a nice glass of wine or an exotic beer. Check out your favorite sports team in HD. Bean and Barrel is a great coffee and wine bar located in front of Governors Club (plenty of parking). They have gourmet coffee, many wines by the glass (served from a Winekeeper), 6 draft microbrews and tons of bottled beers from around the world. They serve very good casual food all day long. Live music every Saturday night from 7 - 10 pm. A very nice, relaxing atmosphere (lot of leather chairs & couches), a bunch of flat screen tv's and a very friendly staff. I highly recommend it.
