I have been bringing my laundry and dry cleaning to Beacon Cleaners since August 2009. I have been happy and satisfied with the service provided until approximately a month ago. Since that time I have been receiving my laundered men?s dress shirts back with wrinkles along the front. It was obviously substandard work but the clerk tried to explain it away as how the shirt folds/hangs. I asked to have the shirts redone. When I picked the shirts up the next day they looked exactly like they did when I pointed out the problem the day before. I asked the clerk to send them back because they had not been redone. I also asked her to have someone speak to the presser about the problem. The next time I picked the shirts up they were properly pressed. I was going to take my business elsewhere because of the bad attitude and service I received but I thought I would try again since they had been doing a good job the previous two months. I dropped off my husband shirts a few more times with no problems. It didn?t take long, however, before I received the same sloppy pressing with my husband?s dress shirts. I brought the problem to the clerk?s attention and asked again to have the shirts redone and have someone speak to the owner about whoever was pressing the shirts. Instead the owner chose to ignore the problem and inform me through his employee that they would not be redoing any more shirts. Needless to say, I am not taking my dry cleaning or laundry to Beacon Cleaners because they cannot do the basic function of a drycleaner (i.e. clean and press in an acceptable fashion). I am writing this review to inform the public of the sloppy business practices and horrible customer service provided by Beacon Cleaners.
