We ordered the dinner combination where we got a bowl of soft tofu and a plate of meat. While the meat was good, the soft tofu was ABSOLUTELY disgusting! To go Ka Ju instead because the tofu at BCD is salty and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. This restaurant claims that they don't use MSG in their foods, which is why their foods doesn't taste as good as other restaurants. My guess is that they substitute MSG with something else in the soft tofu and that's what gives it that unpleasant salty taste. I'm not sure about the other foods on the menu but if you're going to order soft tofu, AVOID THIS PLACE! more

Good tofu 12/30/2005

The tofu here is pretty tasty. The pickles here are the best because they are extremely salty, they taste home made. The best part of this place is the meat. The meat here is very flavorful no matter the type of meat that you order. The best for me is the teriyaki chicken or the kalbi ribs. You can order a combo with the meat and the tofu, they come in smaller portions though, but when you are done eating both, it feels like a full meal. The service can be a little slow if they are busy because it is quite a large place. more

Good tofu 12/30/2005

The tofu is very good here. The service is not as good as Kaju soft tofu (up the street from bcd). BCD offers a lot of side dishes as well, but their pickles are home made, salty, and GOOD! They have a salad as well that is very good. They do serve meat here. No matter what type of meat that you get at BCD, it is very tasty. Their terriyaki chicken and their kalbi ribs are the best to order. The nice thing about BCD is their combination order. You can order a small tofu with meat, rather than paying an additional 12 dollars for a plate of meat. I like the combination idea. more

Tofu House 10/3/2005

Mmm.. mmm.... good!! Its pretty much a hot pot tofu stew, with soft tofu, meat or seafood of your choice. And you choose your own level of spiciness. From no spice (white) to mild to spicy hot. Its a great authentic taste of Korean food more

Really overrated 9/2/2005

I think BCD serves okay food but it doesn't live up the hype that surrounds it. The prices are pretty expensive for the amount of food that you get. It's not really filling and sometimes the tofu bowls are too hot. However, the service at this location is pretty good and the servers are friendly. more
