Upon picking up my cat after a four-day stay, I found two large feces and few small pieces in the bottom of her enclosure. Nothing was in the tiny cat pan. It was too small for her stand in and not miss. The cat pan was only inches from her food dish. When I showed an employee the feces she only said ""Oh, she doesn't like to go in the pan."" I said ""No one likes to clean the cages."" Keep your cat away from here. more

Our lab mix 'puppy' Bear has stayed here at least 4 times and has loved it. He gets excited when he starts recognizing where we are taking him. The staff has been great and love to see him. Bear is over 80 lbs. and 8 months old, so he is still exuberant and doesn't realize his strength. This means they get their workout when they walk him on the leash. I highly recommend Bayside as an excellent place to board your loved pet! more

I've been bringing my beloved dogs to Robert and staff at Bayside Animal Lodge Ltd for many years now, and I can honestly say they receive the best care I can ever imagine. To say I am picky about where I board my dogs is an understatement. I tried 4-5 local kennels before I found Bayside - and have and will continue to fully recommend them. I totally trust them to deliver great care with compassion, skill, love, and a high degree of integrity and committment. more

I would like to express my experience of boarding animals. Being a former pet technician, I can say I have seen many breeds come and go and love every single one of them. Compassion and respect of all creatures is a prerequisite of employment. The owners instinct of who is right for this kind of job is essential. It is unfair for a patron to come to a new facility to board their beloveds and expect them to be stress-free. Some animals cope well, and some never do. It is our responsibility as pet technicians to comfort our new friends, treat them with respect, and take care of them to the best of OUR ability. We do not have degrees that state "we know why your pet is sick" and "here is what you can give him to ease his pain." Our only way of easing their stress is our company, individual attention, love and respect of them. Every single person who works in this type of job is sincerely saddened and humbled when a death occurs. We are animal lovers, not killers. more

We left my 3 dogs here on may 3rd, 2011. My bernese mountain dog Sierra, age 7, excellent health. She died alone in her kennel on May 13th. My cocker spaniel Cookie had glaucoma and had one eye with vision enough to only see shadows and shapes. Her eye was punctured somehow while at the kennel and she received no medical treatment. We had left the kennel 3 numbers we could be reached at and we had left my daughters 3 numbers including her work number. No one called until the day we were coming home, they then called to tell us that Sierra was dead and cookie injured. The infection from the puncture was massive and the hole went throughbthe cornea into the back of the eye. She had her only eye removed today. more

Bayside Animal Lodge is a wonderful, warm, welcoming, safe & fun place to leave your pets. I have tried all the other kennels in the Gig Harbor area and Bayside Animal Lodge is the best, by far..... Robert & his staff have created a terrific environment for their 'guests' that include walks & play times. Robert knows each dog by name & provides a 'report card' of their stay with him. Their groomers are great, too. My dogs return home after a stay at Bayside Animal Lodge relaxed & not all stressed out. We wouldn't go anywhere else. more
