The place is terrible. One reviewer who boards there was pretty dead on about the ring being great, Louanne being great, etc, however, just dont bother. For the price Baymar charges there are reputable barns all over the place where the owner does not beat his own horses and his wife (the other owner) can barely make it over a crossrail- yet she is an instructor? They put pony bits in horses mouths because they dont know the difference! Turnout is dangerous as they turnout in herds and theres picnic tables in the way, ice on cement in the winter. The good reviews on here are from uneducated beginners who enjoy the community aspect that Baymar does, in fact, have. However, if you were to stop at any reputable tack shop, which would clearly be unbiased, anyone will tell you it is a low rate walk/trot lesson barn on a large piece of property which attempts to pitch to the show world it knows nothing about. Jim and Ellie Smith should stick to teaching kids how to walk, trot, canter and stop treating their lesson horses like garbage.
Pros: Large Indoor
Cons: Everything Else
