Baylor Bob Dvm - Baylor Animal Clinic

My husband and I are new to the area. When I called the Baylor Animal Clinic for advice on one of our cats, the staff could not have been any nicer. They went out of their way to help me, even though I have not yet brought in any of our pets. Based on the outstanding customer service and caring alone, I highly recommend this clinic. I wish I had followed my instincts (from previous experience at this pathetic clinic) and/or read these reviews before I took my poor dog to Baylor's. They are conveniently located & I only needed to have my poor dog groomed. I use a vet which I love that is out of town, where they listen to their customers and actually DO show compassion for my dog. My adopted Doberman has issues which I made very clear to Baylor's lackadaisical staff; recommending that they muzzle him which they did not do. I merely wanted him bathed, in order to do that he had to get the shot for kennel cough (maybe as a result of the Chihuahua’s issue after visiting Baylor). I have used them before to clip his toenails, at which time I remained present AND muzzled him. This time they put him in a cage, which stunk like urine, without his muzzle and were afraid to get him out of the cage. They refused to even cut his nails muzzled without sedating him. There's no way I would allow them to put him back in that smelly cage (to wait for the sedation to kick in) where he clearly was extremely distressed. If the front desk person was the least bit personable I would've waited with my dog in the waiting area for sedation to kick in. They have never acted as if they care whether they have my business or not. This is not my first unpleasant experience with this vet, they were uncaring for an old Weimeraner I once had and even gave the wrong contact information to a good Samaritan that found that same Weimerainer when he had gotten out of my yard. I will never, ever expose my poor dog to the uncaring, unfriendly & sub professional staff at this clinic again. I hope they go out of business, I imagine the only way they've managed to stay afloat is by ripping people off like they tried to do with the woman reporting the heart worm test that was inaccurate... if she had trusted them, they'd have made a nice little bundle on unnecessary heart worm treatment. This animal clinic is the Worst that I have ever seen in my entire life. My husband and I took our chihuahua in because there was something wrong with her stomach and small amount of diarrhea. The vet sees her and says we need to ex-ray her and we said ok. He and his assistant take her back behind closed doors and ex-ray her. They bring her back and immediately she sounds like a Goose when she coughed and SHE NEVER WENT IN FOR A COUGH. We asked them why in the world she sounds like she does and they told us Oh she probably just got a cough. Our dog tried to bark when she was at the clinic and she sounded just like a Goose. So my husband calls them back and asked when is my dog going to sound normal and he says give it a week. So we wait and wait and Now it's been about 6 months and no change for my dog. Now my dog is Maimed for life and will Never Bark Normal Again because of this Illiterate Vet. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS CLINIC OR THIS MAY HAPPEN TO YOUR PETS TOO. I believe this Vet crushed her Trachea that's why she is like this. more

Baylor Animal Clinic just remodeled their whole facility. It smells nice and it is very sterile. They have also hired a new staff which has over 30 years of experience and deeply cares for your animals. There is a wonderful feel of comfort when you walk through the door and get greeted with ear to ear smiles and a caring hello. I would highly reccommend you to stop in and check out their clinic. I think you would be grealty impressed with the improvment and professionalism of not only their facility but also the staff. more
