They offer a special for a vacuum tune up in the monthly mail coupons. They advertise that they sell and service Panasonic vacuums. I didn't have a current coupon at the time but assumed they specialized in vacuum repair. Took my cleaner in for a ""tune up"", belt replacement and new light bulb. About a week later they called to tell me it was ready. When I got there I asked if they replaced they light. The lady told me they usually don't replace them because they burn out as soon as you bump the vacuum, but she did put a new one in and charged me an extra $3. Total bill was about $50. Got it home and the first time I used it the belt broke and the light burned out. Returned to the store and they put a new belt on. Got it home and again the first time I used it the belt broke. Called the store and Bob said he'd take care of it personally. Took it back in, they kept it for another day. Bob assured me it was fixed this time, he had tested it thoroughly and put in a new bulb. He also gave me a pack of vacuum bags for my trouble. Well, I got it home again and the belt broke and the bulb burned out on the first use. Called the store and Bob acted as if he didn't remember. ""Well, we see a lot of vacuums in here."" He told me to bring it in again. I said I would prefer to take it somewhere else and that I would return the bags if I could get a refund. He reluctantly agreed to give me back my money. When I got there the first concern of the woman was if I had opened the pack of bags, which I hadn't. I got the uncomfortable feeling as if they felt I was trying to rip THEM off. Nonetheless, I took the vacuum into Circle Sew and Vac in Midland. They had it fixed in one day, only charged me $20 and the vacuum has been working perfectly ever since. And the bulb hasn't burned out. My guess is that Bob uses cheap replacement parts and overcharges customers. I won't return for that reason.
