This is a great facility! The physical therapists here are excellent at what they do. It may take a while to get you going again, but, if it can be done, it will undoubtably be Bay Medical Healthplex that can get it done for you. They offer so many different therapies and health excercises, you wont be disatified if you choose them. more

  • The Bay Medical Sleep Disorders Laboratory, working with your physician, can assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. The lab is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the technologists are licensed by the State of Florida. What is a Sleep Study? A sleep study is a painless recording called a polysomnogram. You will spend the night in a private room with a home-like environment. Each room has state-of-the-art digital equipment for monitoring sleep patterns, breathing, heart irregularities, oxygen saturation, and body movements. A professional polysomnographic technologist monitors your study in an adjacent room. The study is scored and prepared by a registered polysomnographer and interpreted by a physician sleep specialist. Getting a Sleep Study The first step is for your physician to refer you to the sleep lab or schedule a study for you.

    • You will be asked to answer a questionnaire regarding your sleep history to aid in the diagnostic process.

    • You will be pre-registered, allowing you to come directly to the lab on the night you are tested.

    • Your test will run during the night and finish early the next day.

    • Upon completion, your study results will be reported to your physician who will discuss them with you.

Comfort in a Home-Like Setting The Bay Medical Sleep Disorders Laboratory is designed to feel as much like home as possible. Your room at the Sleep Center is decorated as a regular bedroom creating a comfortable setting so that you can relax and sleep. Your bed is equipped with a Tempur-Pedic mattress for maximum comfort. Insurance Information A sleep disorders study is an accepted medical procedure covered by Medicare and most insurance companies. Bay Medical will assist you in pre-certification of your insurance. Financial arrangements can be made in lieu of insurance coverage.
