Here i am driving the 'closest i ever got to my dream-car' Firebird convertible...everthings finally working right..except there's NO soundtrack to travel by...so i up&grab a hand-me-down deck i'd been saving for this occasion ..look up local car stereo installers..and here's these guys on Geary i thought to give a try...the voice on the line was friendly& accomodating...was able to get me in now if i hurried...so i hand my car off to a gregarious soul by the name of Jack Chew...and he told me to take a stroll&it would all be done in 30min time...but when he called...it was about the BROKEN radio i had brought in...so did i lose my installation fee?....no hustles here..."just get one that works...you've got credit for another try"....and that's why you shop your neighborhood stores..for the human exchange that's called "the old school fair square deal"...the next time i took no chances...a brand new deck...and 30mins later...i got my "soundtrack to travel by"....blasting "The Clash" down Geary....Jack&his boys downstairs DON'T MESS AROUND...THEY JUST GIVE YOU SOUND!! more

This is a really good place to get anything you need for your car. They even take care of your home audio needs as well. I needed to get a pair of speakers installed and went to a chain store we all know about but wont say any names. The guy in the "Blue" shirt gave me the run around and did not know what he was talking about and had no exp. Jack told me what I needed and what would work for me for what I wanted to do. He took care of me and my install with check out only took 30- 45 min. to do. Thanks Guys. You have my bizz from here on.... more

I own a 2007 Toyota Sequoia, I just love that truck; Before I had come to bay car I had to do some shopping around and I had a Kenwood before, I broke down and my Hubby went and got me a Beautiful Eclipse 6620 Navigation, and I totally just love the thing. I love driving my truck all around, and with a Pristine Eclipse in my dash, I'm riding in luxury and more assured of where exactly I am going. Thanks a bunch' Bay Car staff more

I came into Bay Car a few months ago because my previous window tint was dying out and my speakers were blown out. The owner Jack gave me a great price on everything. At first I wasnt sure if the window tint was gunna last since my last one did not really last at all but i have had my tints done a few months now and it is still a beauty. As for the new speakers and sub, they are truly lasting. I listen to my music loouud and they knew exactly what i needed and gave me a great deal. i seriously recommend this place. more

Good service: I'm not an expert on car audio, but if you're like me these types of purchases are a pain, and it's nice to know that someone else had a good experience. They did what they said they'd do when I needed to move an expensive system from one car to another and purchase an inexpensive system for the other car. And they did it quickly without hassle. They seemed fair, reasonable, and honest. more

I went to bay car stereo a few weeks ago because i wanted to upgrade the system my 2007 BMW had. The sales people were very nice and informative, its nice to speak with someone who knows their information very well and delivers it in a friendly manner as well. They offered to drop my off at my house and pick me up when my car was ready. Beside the fantastic service my car sounded amazing. The manger himself felt bad that the stereo that I originally wanted was not in stock, so he through in a free ipod integration unit and free installation. more

I had a great experience with Bay Car and Home Entertainment. I have nothing but positive things to say. I couldn't have found a better deal. I needed a car alarm and to hook up some home entertainment as well. They were referred to me by a friend, who told me that I would be able to get a good deal. Bay Car has been in business for 20 years, which to me shows some stability and made me more likely to try them. Everything they installed was fine; there were no problems. They even gave me a warranty. Since then I have introduced them to some of my friends. more

I have used Bay Car And Home Entertainment a couple of times, first for window tinting and then to install a new car stereo. I initially decided to use them because of their customer service and product knowledge. I had a lot of questions and they were able to answer all of them. When I was ready to take my car in, they were accommodating in terms of fitting me in and making sure that I had a ride back. Bay Car And Home Entertainment provides a great service. I have been working with Jack for over 20 years and have no reason to go anywhere else. We send our clients and clients of AAA to Bay Car and Home Entertainment because they are good, friendly, and they know what they are doing...that is important when you have to take your car somewhere and trust them with the quality of work. They always use quality products. They have installed all of the televisions and navigation systems in about 25 of our tow trucks. Bay Car & Home Entertainment is very informative and knowledgeable. I have used them several times for work on my car -- to replace the radio, to add Bluetooth, and to add an amplifier. They had an answer for just about every question I had and, if they did not have an answer, they were quickly able to get the answer for me. Considering how tough competition is these days, I think that they do a good job. I initially went to Best Buy but could not get the same kind of service. Bay Car & Home Entertainment may be a little more expensive than Best Buy but they are knowledgeable and it is worth it. You get what you pay for. My aunts and uncles who live in San Francisco remember Jack, the owner, from 20-30 years ago. If his business has been around that long, he must be doing something right. Jack is very honest and fair. The last time I used Bay Car & Home Entertainment, they finished the work ahead of the time I was quoted, so the bill was prorated. People are often scared of salespeople or afraid to ask questions. My advice is: If you have any questions, do not be afraid to ask the people at Bay Car & Home Entertainment. The two owners I met are wonderful guys, very polite, quick and considerate. Their home theater products are top of the line, they are the very few selected authorized dealers for the brands I like (Pioneer, Dynamat, DENON). The finished home theater is just awesome, the superb acoustic surround, the comfortable seating, that high class feeling! We are not going to a moving theater any time soon! Pros: Thumbs up! I've heard numerous horror stories from my friends about window tinting nightmares at cheaper places around the city, so I decided to spend a bit more and get my windows done where I heard that I'd be happy with the results. And happy I was, and still am to this day ! My windows were perfect, no uneven cuts or bubbles, and they finished in a prompt and timely manner (other places that quoted me said I'd leave my car with them for four to five hours). A lot of my friends also go to Bay Car to get their audio systems wired and they always do a great job. more

I took my car here to have the alarm fixed and it was the most horrible experience. After 3 tries (and paying 3 times) it still is not fixed. The worst part of going there, though, was how I was treated. They couldn't be bothered to try and fix the alarm or work with me. When I went to pick up the car, I had to walk 2 blocks to get it and the alarm box was hanging down and hitting my leg as I drove.
