During a visit to Chicago, Dr. Baum graciously gave an excellent presentation to the men of my church. One of the topics was prostate cancer. Something that he said hit home. He said that if one person gets an exam, his visit will have been successful. That inner voice told me that I was that person. As a result of that exam, and further testing, I found out that I had stage III prostate cancer. After reviewing several alternatives, it was determined that surgery was the best option. That was literally the best decision of my life. Had I waited, even for a short period of time, it may have been too late. I'm now cancer free, looking forward to a long productive life.
