Batteries Plus

I love this store. I'm not sure how they find the employees that they have, but they're the best at what they do. Apparently, I'm a late-comer to the game as one of the employees tell me they've been here for 12 years, but I've only been visiting them for the past 6 months. First off, they've got the best prices on watch batteries around. I tried Wal-Mart, they wouldn't touch them. I tried the mall, but it was over $20 a piece(and one of the watches only cost me $30!!!) I was told told to try Batteries plus, and they knocked all 3 out in a matter of minutes, and did so for under a twenty spot! Awesome! My second experience with them came about a month later when my laptop battery was on the fritz. These guys not only had what I needed to get my laptop up and running (independent of a wall outlet that is), but had a couple of options for me to choose from. My third (and most recent experience) was dual-purpose. I was in need of a new Ipod battery as well as new cell phone battery both of which they had in stock (and in the instance of the ipod, were able to install for a service fee). These guys are the best in Nashville. While I was in the store this last time I heard two different employees tell two different customers where they could find what they were looking for, even though they were sending business to a competitor. I will definitely continue to do business with them! more

I first discovered this Batteries Plus when an employee at Wal-Mart told me she couldn't change my watch battery in my Seiko watch, and referred me to this store. I was amazed at how quickly they were able to change it out for me. Before I knew it, they were ready to ring me up and get me on my way! I've since been coming back for years, because I know they'll have what I need, if what I need is a battery. Pros: They probably have it in stock, knowledgeable staff, fast service Cons: Not always the best price compared to online stores more

After calling this store the day before to ensure they carried the battery I was looking for, I visited this store to buy the $150 notebook battery I needed. I was assured that the product I?d asked for, an HP brand battery, was in stock, but the battery was NOT the HP brand, even though I had specifically said that is what I wanted when I phoned ahead. Plus, the packaging for this battery didn?t say it worked with my notebook model. I was concerned over the compatibility and they took the battery out of the box to compare them. The battery seemed the same, but I was nervous about using an unsupported battery in my PC. He stated Batteries Plus would cover damage. *After hearing the value of the PC, he started trying to convince me not to buy it if I was nervous. I said I needed the battery ASAP and would buy it since they guaranteed the battery?s compatibility. *I asked him to hold the battery while I browsed the store. I returned to the counter to buy the $150 battery and I waited patiently behind another customer.*Then a 3rd person came in. The gentleman who had waited on me called another employee to wait on the 3rd customer. Since they had not offered to have her ring me up in the 10 min. I?d been waiting in line, I assumed she was going to help him find what he needed and he would wait in line behind me to check out. She found his battery and began to ring him up! These 2 made it plain that my business was not important. I pointed out that I?d been waiting in line for a while, and if she could ring up sales, she should?ve already rung mine up. The man said he thought I wasn?t going to buy anything. I answered I?d already told him I was going to buy the battery. *He seemed intent on trying to talk me out of the purchase, I repeated that I needed it ASAP. I told him I was insulted by them and would?ve left had I not needed the battery. He gave me a look of smug spite, cancelled the sale in the register, and refused to sell me the battery.
