I made an appointment with Bath Fitter over the phone and it was pretty simple. I didn't think much about that part because I have scheduled contractors before. The day of the appointment I got a call from the estimator who wanted to come early. I told him I couldn't get him in any earlier and it was a little upset over that. He got to my house and went right into the bathroom and looked at the shower and started asking me what color I wanted to replace it with. Then he gave me a binder and told me to take a look through it while he takes some measurements. The binder was filled with before and after pictures and accessory options. After a couple minutes he cam out and started to write up the estimate and he told me a little about the materials they use. He asked if I had their coupon, which I did. He adjusted the price and told me what the total would be and asked when I wanted to start the project. He never explained the estimate or what was included. I told him that I was still gathering estimates, to which he came back telling me that no matter where I go, he'll be the best price. Then he tells me that the coupon I have is only good if I sign today (and If he had to come back it was hundreds of dollars more). I told him I didn't want to start until I had a couple other people look at it, and he snapped at me and said, ""then why did I come here?"" At that point I was done and I told him no thanks. He said that I'd call him to do the work anyways, his clients always choose him over the other offers. Then he waked out through our side/garage door and left.
Pros: free estimate
Cons: didn't explain anything
