Basta has great Italian food. I usually get it to go for lunch and while it can be pretty pricey, it is worth it. I recommend anything with their Alfredo sauce. They have a dish with shrimp in it that is excellent. There location is kind of in convenient because its not close to the main areas of East Peoria but that is the only draw back I can find. The carry out orders are very simple and the people answering the phones are always friendly. more

The food served is always delicious and innovative. The atmosphere isn't great, so I wouldn't consider it for a romantic date. But, as a more casual dining place, it's great! The service has always been pleasant and the restaurant has always been clean. more
