Basil Spice Thai Cuisine

I love all the little restaurants on S. Grand, ell, most of them. So this morning my husband told me he'd love some Thai food for dinner. i did some research and found Basil Spice. I went in this evening and it is so cozy in there. That place is not huge which is need because it is quiet, too. i ordered some take-out and sat down. All the guests looked like they had a good time, the staff was extremely friendly and so helpful with recommending dishes. One need thing is that you could pick on a scale from 1-5 how spicy you want your food. i have a low tolerance and 2 was perfect. My husband could drink a bottle of hot sauce and said 4 was fantastic. We had chicken dumplings (4 of them are one appetizer and delicious) and some pad Thai dishes. It was cooked in about 10 minutes and delicious, i will be back!! more

Just moved to the South Grand area and tried out Basil Spice Restaurant. Freakin Awesome. The food is so yummy. The waitresses are attentive and friendly. I personally love the chicken dumplings appetizer and the pad thai comes in spicy ratings from 1 to 5. I think the inside of the restaurant is great, maintaining what looks like the original tile floor, the walls are painted a bronzie gold and the booths are cozy. The portions are generous and I have not been dissapointed by the food ever (I've been six times in the last month.. addicted.. maybe). There are some outside tables too, perfect for people watchers like myself, as Grand has lots going on at all times. more
