Barragan's, as I said in the heading, is the best restaurant in Los Angeles. Is this really true? Probably not but the margarita on Wednesday at $2.50, they have free chips, great...

There food was good but I found it on the pricy side as far as mexican resturants go. They gave you free chips and salsa but the salsa was not my favorite. The decor was great but...

Best Restaurant in Los Angeles 1/10/2012

Barragan's, as I said in the heading, is the best restaurant in Los Angeles. Is this really true? Probably not but the margarita on Wednesday at $2.50, they have free chips, great salsa and the best service ever. It's just a fun place to go with your friend. Note, the margaritas are the strongest drinks in Los Angeles. more

$1 Tacos on Taco Night 1/13/2009

My family and I go to Barragan's in Burbank every Monday night for $1 tacos on "taco night". The tacos are either ground beef or chicken and delicious. The restaurant serves free freshly made chips and pretty tasty salsa. Being of Mexican descent, I know a good taco when I taste one, and these are up there with mom's. There is parking behind the restaurant. Considering the fact that "taco night" is pretty crowded, the wait to be seated goes by quickly. I have had other meals here, and find the food to be very authentic. more

Barragans is a nasty place to go and eat! 10/5/2008

Besides having gone 3 years ago when I ordered a dish, the side dish of beans was cold. If I wanted to eat cold beans I would have stayed home and opened up a can of beans! I told the owner and all he had to say was "I guess they are not doing their job"! Such poor public relations. I also went today 10/5/08 ordered cocido and in my soup not only did I find chicken in it but chicken bones. barragans what are you doing dumping back what remains on peoples plates back into the pots? It smells old and musty!!! If you're thinking about going to this restaurant "DON'T"! The food is 100 times better at Taco Bell!!! barragans suck! You guys are gross!!! Don't waste you money and time at this aweful restaurant, barragans. I can see the downfall coming of barragans! I have no idea how you guys have survived with your nasty service and especially food!!! Yuk, Puke, Barf, and Vomit!!! more

Barragan's is a great place to dine! 6/4/2008

Barragan's is a very nice to place to eat. The food is delicious and the waitresses are very attentive to the customers needs. I recommend Barragan's to anyone who wants to take their family to have a great Mexican meal and a nice time. more

Not bad 3/3/2008

The food was pretty good....service a bit slow. But all in all - good. I liked the decor and the ambiance. Especially since it wasnt too expensive. Parking was kind of a pain though. more

Fine when you're hungry 1/30/2008

The only thing I don't like about mexican cuisine is it is too spicy and I have to take care to order some mild or nonspicy items. Anyway, this place is really good, because they will tailor order to the guest and carefully make the way he ordered. more

Cheap Margaritas! Free chips! 9/21/2007

Though their regular margaritas might not taste that great, for $2.50 they don't have to. I highly suggest splurging and spending an extra dollar for the flavored margaritas, they're tasty. Most importantly, free chips and salsa at every table. Pros: Free chips!! more

Wonderful place to share with someone special. 12/20/2006

A very memorable experience. I will definitely be back and hope to re-live that experience over and over. The atmosphere is very romantic and during the holidays is beautifully decorated. I cannot wait to return! more

I have been going to Barragan's for over a decade. The food is fresh as can be and their Cadillac Margarita's are fantastic. I recently tried their ceviche... excellent. My Mejicana momma loves their cocido... Pros: fresh food Cons: parking more

Go on Wednesdays!! 3/10/2005

Great Mexican food, ambiance and service. This family-owned establishment in Echo Park has been around for years. They offer great weekly specials. Sit in the bar area on Wednesdays and get discounted margaritas and complimentary nachos. The weekends feature Bloody Mary specials. It's a great place to watch the Lakers too. more

Barragans Forever! 7/21/2004

I love Barragans so much. We go there all the time, and its always good. The margaritas are excellent. The Chicken Fajita Tostada is my favorite, I love the Mole and the Nachos Barragans. Its a really homey, sweet place with comfy booths, big drinks and great food. more

God i love this place. The food, like moms home cooking, the staff, like family. I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. the food is so generous and tasty. One thing for sure, by the time you reach the cashiers booth (with the beautiful michelle, I believe her name is) , you would have loosened your tie , unbuckled your belt, and unbuttonedor unzipped your pants, so you can breathe again. i suggest a chile verde burrito especial or any one of the combinations. they are fairly priced, and tasty. the taqiutos are another fav, and the margaritas are supreme. The Bomb Mexican place to go! 6/21/2002

This food is excellent, I have been going here for years. I have not seen very many Mexican restaurants come close. Very nice people. Full Bar. Great pleace to take a date, and the whole family. They can host a private party as well. The prices are reasonable. For 2 people on a date look to spend around $30.00-$40.00 Including drinks. more

The restaurant offers corn, seafood and flour quesadillas, guacamole with corn chips, shrimp cocktail and queso fundido. Barragan's Mexican Restaurant s combination specialties include chicken fried steaks, pork chops, carne adasa, chiles rellenos, beef with red Chile and steak picado.
