Barosa

I was greeted with some interesting glares from the idle wait staff as I walked in. The same three waiters stood in a corner horsing around using foul language for the duration. As Marcello our waiter was telling us the specials, one of the clowns walked past and coughed “toppings”. He walked back and forth coughing and hacking every time he passed our table. After I heard “toppings” I decided against ordering. We all felt very uncomfortable and skipped dessert. Barosa must be doing pretty well to allow their wait staff to treat paying customers that way. Barosa has lost my business; any time anyone asks me about Barosa I will be sure to cough “toppings”. Sorry Barosa you lost my vote. This one is too close to call. Depending on what my latest experience at Barosa's is, my opinion will fluctuate. Unfortunately my last time was a disaster, but since its not the norm, I'll try my best to be objective.\r Usually we drive everywhere, but since its only a couple of blocks we walk there, and if not they always have Valet parking.\r The place is nicely decorated and the ambiance most of the time is great, but as any place that serves alcohol, the ocational fool ruins it for everyone.\r Food; its confusing. The same dish sometimes tastes fresh and delicious, and a week later the same dish will taste like it was cooked at a tailgate party.\r Last time my steak tasted like the 99 cents special at a fast food restaurant, but I ordered it before and it was excellent. I don't know if it's normally that packed, but I went there on valentine's day and it was very crowded. The food was excellent. Especially the salmon. The drinks were great too. Beautiful bar.
