This is such a great store. I love to shop here for gifts because I can always find a book or two that will interest everyone on my list. The bargain sections are amazing! I've had great luck here finding deals on cook books and things for the kids. They really do mark these down nicely and they're usually still in good condition. My only complaint about this store is that this particular location seems to have become a bit of a teen hang out on Friday and Saturday nights. It' located right next to a movie theater, where many unsupervised kids loiter, so that's no fun for regular families. more

Great Store 4/10/2006

I love Barnes in Noble in Independence, Missouri. The store is really big and is organized in a way that makes it simple to find what you are looking for. They have some great sales on books throughout the year, I find a lot of cookbooks for my sister in law for Christmas presents. They also have a café in the store. There is nothing better than grabbing a cup of coffee, a danish, and reading a book in their over stuffed chairs. more
