The Barnes and Noble bookstore located in Dublin is a fabulous place. The large store is open and airy, with high ceilings. With a Starbucks on-site, it always smells vaguely of coffee. The cafe sells a selection of coffees, baked goods, and sandwiches. They're on the pricey side, but that's fairly standard for Starbucks. The plus is that if you have a Barnes and Noble Preferred Card, you get 10% off your cafe purchase! The first time I realized this, I was surprised and thrilled. The bookstore carries a huge selection of books and magazines, covering a large number of subjects and genres, from cookbooks, to sports memoirs, to science fiction, to great literature, and more. Prices are generally list, though there are always deals available, and the Preferred Members' discount is always 10%. They have a good children's section that even boasts a Thomas the Tank Engine train table and a table and chairs for your little ones to enjoy. Other visitors can relax and read in one of the plush chairs in the center of the store. Finally, they do have a music section, but prices tend to be higher than in other stores, so I'd likely avoid it if I were you. Employees are helpful and surprisingly knowledgeable about the store's layout! Overall, I love this store! It's a great, quiet place to browse.
