Barnes & Noble Booksellers

Overall this is a very good book store. It's big, well-organized, neat and clean. It has a good children's section, a nice music area, many magazines. Route 9 is always annoying, but the parking lot is adequate. The cafe is nice and convenient, and you can hang around for ages reading and relaxing. My biggest complaint with this store is that they don't have many special events. Part of the joy of a live mega bookstore is the occasional author event or concert by local artists. It's a shame that this store, which is so large and busy, doesn't draw more events. I'm in the area a lot and would be more likely to stop by if there was a special draw. more

You can spend all day with a cup of coffee and the wide variet of books here at this two story Barnes and Nobles in Chestnut Hill. There is a coffee shop part of the store that sells Starbucks coffees, teas, and frappaccinos. The baked goods are from the Cheesecake factory. They also have a good selection of cold bottled drinks including Nantucket Nectars and Fiji water. There are only four or five tables that sit two people so sometimes you have to wait to sit or just find a couch in the store. There is also the usual magazine section, kids section, bargain book section. Also, the customer service is great. The salesperson can help you find a book, and if they don't have it, they will look in the computer data base to see if another store has it or have it shipped to the store or your home. Overall, this Barnes and Noble is a great bookstore for all of your reading needs. more
