I love going to the Barnes & Noble in San Mateo. It is very cozy and cute. I've gone with friends just to go inside, get a drink from Starbucks and sit and read magazines! This is one of the best book stores I have ever been in. First class with all the wide selections of books and magazines. THere is a starbucks store inside with tables where you can relax with the book you just purchased. The people that works here are awesome more

Good store 6/8/2005

I used to like the fact that I can always go there, pick up a book and if I don't like it, return it - even if I don't have a reciept. I'd get store credit for the sale price. now, the store credit gets sent home :( PROS: good selection CONS: strange return policy more

Reading Time. 6/7/2005

For many of you who read in your spare time, Barnes and Noble is a great place for you. This large bookstore has a wide selection of books and cds for your enjoyment and is spaced out over the two levels quite well. Throughout the store there are various comfortable chairs and couches that you can spend time and read and do your work in. This location is also complete with a Starbucks cafe inside for those later study sessions. The store hours are great, and ideal for working people. I would highly recommend this location to anyone out there looking for a nice place to sit down and read a while. PROS: location is great, pleasant environment. CONS: parking lot is small. more

This bookstore is where I go to when I need to study. There is a Starbucks in it with tables. They don't bug you and you can tune yourself out while being around every book you could ever need for a class. It is an excellent place to buy a book, but more so it is an exceptional place to study for your future. The staff is always helpful and the magazine isle goes for days. I appreciate this store for its atmosphere! more
