If I need a book, I go to Barnes & Noble straight-away. The 2 story building never fails to have the books I am looking for. The magazine section is pretty extensive, and if you can't get a book in the store, they can always order it for you, or you can buy it on their website. more

Great place to shop for books! 9/5/2005

Barnes and Noble in Poughkeepsie has such a nice attmosphere that I love to shop there for the books I want. They also have a coffee shop inside so you can enjoy a fresh cup of your favorite coffee blend while you read through the books to choose the one you want. The are also very fairly priced. PROS: Great attmosphere! CONS: none that I can think of. more

A book-lover's oasis 6/25/2005

Barnes & Noble offers a wide selection of books in many genres. They welcome browsers and in-store reading, offering comfortable chairs throughout the store, as well as a convenient coffee shop. A great way to spend a couple of hours of free time. The hard part is not bringing home every book that catches your eye! more
