It is amazing how service and customer care can vary from business location to location within the same company, but I think the Barnes Noble on the east side is much better than the west. There seems to be a greater interest in looking out for the needs of customers, the books are reshelved more frequently, there is a music section, ample seating, and the cafe is kept cleaner. When I've had occasion to need the help of a manager at the east side location, they have promptly met my needs as opposed to the west side where waiting for a manager can take much longer. I recommend this Barnes & Noble over the west side any day of the week.
PROS: Ample parking, excellent customer care, and cleaner cafe
CONS: Spanish language section too big, not open late enough, and beggers outside
