Books, Books, Books! 8/5/2005

This is my all time favorite store in the world. I was so excited when they built this new one so close to my home. They have a great selection of books, magazines, and music. They even have journals, stationery and other miscellous items. They have a wonderful children's area, where the kids can sit and read and enjoy books. They also have storytime that my daughter loves! My only concern is I would love to see more books about children of color. Other than that, they have great discounts and the employees are very helpful and friendly. PROS: Great Prices CONS: If it's not mainstream, you'll probably have to order it. more

Special order was a breeze! 7/26/2005

My son will be attending SFSU this fall and one of the books on his list was offered at Barnes and Noble. I decided to just run up to the store to pick it up so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. When I got there, the book was out of stock but the clerk special ordered it for me and it should arrive in about a week. I really like this store because it has a Starbucks Cafe inside. It also provides lots of comfy sofas and chairs to sit in and read. Every time I have gone there the employees are very friendly and helpful. more

Finally.. a large bookstore close by 6/17/2005

This Barnes and Noble is very large and offers a great selection of books and music. They have a few comfy lounge chairs to read, but most of their seating is in the cafe. It is true that their Starbucks drinks do not always taste the same, or even similarly to a drink made at a Starbucks only location. They have plenty of parking. more

The Cafe is a stinker 4/28/2005

There are a lot of Starbucks out there but they are not all the same. I realized this when I went to this Starbucks and ordered my usual and it did not taste the same! PROS: there are books to read CONS: the flavor wont be the same more

i love the wide selections here. the only thing they lack is more topic selections on certain books...magazine wise they are great. they have some good deals and if you decide to get a card, that's great because you get more of a discount. it's very clean, but noisey from the inside starbucks. more
