How anyone can be a bartender in the US and not know how to properly make a mojito is beyond me. I have travelled all over the world and never seen the type of incompetence and lack of personablity that exists at this dump pretending to be trendy. I would expect to find this type of ignorance and horrific service in LA or Dallas, but not a little tourist trap town such as Healdsburg. The waitstaff and hostess were adequate and food edible, but the attitude and stupidity of the bartender are inexcusable. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this tragedy. more

Barndiva is the quintessential Sonoma County restaurant; it has gorgeous outdoor seating, stylish indoor seating, and food for both to make your mouth water. We sat outside, and the atmosphere was perfect for a lunch in the wine country. We sat in the sun, shaded by an umbrella, eating our pleasantly tasty appetizers and delicious entrees amidst the cool breeze. The wait staff was diligent and helpful, even sharing a few entertaining anecdotes. Barndiva was trendy and serene, you will leave feeing satisfied and renewed. \r ? Recommendation: Crispy duck salad, steak frites, and the dark and light chocolate slice. Pros: Great area, good service, loved the menu. Cons: Slightly expensive, but worth it. more

Non-responsive, aloof, arrogant 8/28/2006

OK, so Healdsburg is becoming very high end and Barndiva has clearly done wonders in creating a sophisticated place which is very hip. That's where it ends. I tried several times to book an event here and could not get the owner or manager to commit or even return calls. It was humourous to visit this page and realize how consistent this experience has been with others who have been there. Originally I thought this would have been the ""ideal"" place for our party. Now I realize that it might have been a nightmare, so I'm greatful to others for posting these reviews. Life it too short to deal with people like this. Cons: Rude, arrogant, aloof management more

Whew, Unprofessional and rude management would be an understatement. Tried to book a casual dinner for 15 and got chapter and verse and how he wanted us to behave. Rude Owner 4/9/2006

My girlfriends and I had a terrible experience. Our waitress was actually amazing, but the owner ruined the entire experience. He was incredibly rude and very immature. He wore sunglasses indoor druing the evening while addressing his customers and has zero understanding of what the words ""tact"" and ""polite"" mean. We will never return. I hope that his wait staff find better places to work. more

With all of the other fantastic places in Healdsburg, I would not recommend wasting ANY time (or money) at Barndiva. From the second my party walked into this establishment (where I have twice been before and had fairly good experiences) the level of attitude was off the charts--and I am not really sure why. Without going into details, I have never had such a ridiculous experience at a restaurant. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Period. Pros: Wine list, ?? Cons: Attitude, Attitude, Attitude more
