Barnacles has made me a happy person 1/5/2011

i go to barnacles every tuesday for karaoke and they have NEVER disappointed me. last night was my going away party and of course that is where i wanted the party to be. I had a fabulous turn out of friends and also a lot of open arms from the servers i know at barnacles. Junior was the manager and he was absolutely PERFECT to all of us. The food was once again amazing. If you are not to sure of want you want. i recommend the sampler it is always great. DRINKS....... OH how we all love them. and the best thing is here they are all reasonably priced. People reading you want a GREAT time??? GO TO BARNACLES more

YEAH FOR BARNACLES 12/9/2010

BEST FUN I HAD IN A LONG TIME I was taken to Barnacles in Duluth as a surprise for my birthday on Thanksgiving and I was truly surprised. First I was shown to a table and given a menu with reasonable priced meals and drinks. Every football game playing at the time was on. After ten the lights came down and the strobe light came out and it turned into a club scene. Not only was I able to dance on the floor and return to a seat but we continued to be served by a waitress all night without the expensive VIP price of the clubs downtown. The music was great. A mixture of 90's rap and up to date hip hop. The atmosphere was great. A perfect blend of single professional attractive black men and sophisticated young black women. A great place to mingle if you are single or attached. I will be taking my young sister and my mother here when they come to visit for Christmas and I believe it will please them both. I think the best part is free parking!!!! more

FUN EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK! 9/29/2010

I recently moved to Gwinnett County and was told that Barnacles is the place to be on the weekends. So, I figured I had to check them out. I went on a Saturday night and had a great time! They had multiple DJs, a VIP section, great drinks, and a large patio. Since my first visit I have been back to check out what else Barnacles had to offer... So, I went last Sunday to watch some football. Not only could I watch every single game at once, but there was a DJ who played during commercials. It was the best of both worlds. I was shocked at how many women were there to watch the games as well. Being a single women who is new to the area I was so excited because I made some new friends. I also enjoyed that they offer different food and drink specials each day. I will be going back tonight to check out Reggae night and will post the details later... more

Great Entertainment 9/26/2010

I cannot believe this amazing nightclub is in Gwinnett County! Finally a place that knows what good music and drinks should be like. Bottom line if you want to find a happening place in Gwinnett County this place is off the chains Monday throught Sunday. They have DJ's spinning almost every night of the week. more

The best club on the Northside 9/20/2010

Barnacles @ Pleasant Hill is the Number One local vacation spot in Atlanta for Adults! Its smoking at all times, so no kids. Its so nice to be able to grab a drink and relax, not having to worry about the crying child two tables over. The drinks are mixed perfectly and all bartenders are above par! The new DJ selection is sure to keep me at Barnacles every weekend! Sure going to clubs downtown is great, but, why when the club is close to home! more

great spot day or night 8/18/2010

I recently visited Barnacles and hadn't been in quite some time before that. I was surprised to see that it is still going strong while so many places in the area have closed their doors! They have added so many new things in the last year. A brand new menu that includes breakfast, a VIP section, and flat screen tvs. They had great drink and food specials. I love the calender they put out on the tables so I could see what Barnacles had going on every day of the week. I can't wait for football season to start so I can bring my laptop up and take advantage of the free wi fi and keep up with my fantasy football team. I'm glad there is still a place in duluth open where I can have a good meal, a cold beer, good service, and watch a game. Thank you barnacles! I will be back soon to check out the late night club scene... more

Stay away from this place... Management is the worst ever 2/20/2007

Barnacles (Gwinnett Mall) has gone to HE?? and changed for the WORST. I am male (white) and 3 lady (2 black/1 white) friends went to sing karaoke. It starts with a drunk parking attendant (a regular customer) was helping drunk ladies park their vehicles in the parking lot about 1-1/2 feet from our car after we parked. Then he starts having a moral fight with us about being worthy and thinking we are snobby because we parked straight. We go inside and he already complained to the bouncers that we called him ignorant (true statement). I explain we just want to sing and to keep Mr. Good Buddy away from us. Management thought we were the trouble makers because we were not drunk. We settle in but I went back and move the car to another parking lot so it doesn't get "damage". Next a Barnacle worker is trying to pick up 1 of my lady friends. Next a transgendered person (TG) sits with us. This was quite a nice experience and they could really sing. Next a beefy friend of the Mr Good Buddy asks us about what happened but he seem very interested in the TG person at the table (maybe a player on the download) He challenges one of the ladies to a game of pool. During the game he puts his drink on her tab and then refused to take it off because he rushed back to hear the TG person sing. The "management" sides with Mr Download and demands we pay for the drink. Its on our tab so its ours. We refuse and guess what.... we are asked to leave. They support these AHoles isn't that crazy. I used to come every Monday for trivia last year but now the place was loaded with cheats, liars and cons and the management sides with it. I never relaxed while there. I hope they go out of business and have to sell the place. The Karaoke was great... if he works somewhere else I will go and see him but as for Barnacles they are insane. If you want beer and seafood then use the yellow pages and find another place. Pros: The Karaoke guy and waitress... help them get out Cons: Everything from A to Z... Management sides with the drunks. more

THE WORST 6/4/2006

If you want to visit a club where you are treated with disrepect by the managerial staff then this is where you should be. If you want to pay your hard earned money to this establishment and then be treated like dirt, this is the place to be!!! The worst experience of my life.....EVER!!! Good Times 8/27/2002

Barnacle's is the best sports bar I've been at in a long time. Lots of televised games, good food, and friendly service made it a great overall experience. Pros: Plenty of Seating, Lots of Games, Great Food more

  • The Scene
    A haven for mall-burnt couples and sports-hungry fans, Barnacle's offers a release from the surrounding mecca of Gwinnett Mall shops and restaurants. Walk through the dark paneled hallway of customer photos and sports memorabilia into an open area with plenty of tables, TVs at every turn and a multitude of games. The bar sits in the middle, exposed to the fun. The menu consists of seafood and steak entrees, large salads, sandwiches and crispy appetizers. The blackened yellowfin tuna is a surefire winner. Come Wednesday through Saturday nights if you like dancing to DJ-spun rock and dance tunes.

    The Draw
    The mix of men and women over 25 is casual, young at heart and open to animal behavior at its base level--drinking, gaming and eating ravenously. Pittsburgh Steelers fans make up the bulk of this bar's sports-junkie crowd.
