Pretty good when you consider the extra time needed for delivery and for the box to accrue some moisture from the heat of the food(slightly soggy fries) but cannot complain at all! Would definitely order again! more

Rude Male Waiter! 6/10/2011

We had the worst waiter ever. He charged us double for an item clearly stated on the menu. The he gave me attitude before agreeing to fix it. He told me the menu was wrong. If you go there... be sure to ask for a female server. more

Decent grub, but bad service 2/19/2010

Two visits, and two rude waitresses. Strange, they both must have gone to the same watressing class... Both where unaware of anything on the menu, knew nothing about beer, and were slow to our needs. We had to ask for things that should have been brought out, and the first one was just so pissed off she was there, it was bringing us down. We actually had leftovers, but didn't want to ask her for a box, so we left them. The food wasn't bad, but I don't think Ill return for a while...quite a while. The side dishes are good, fun friendly atmosphere and great beer. I would go back, but not for the barbeque. If you want barbeque, go to City Barbeque. If you want to hang out, have a few beers and eat some decent food, then by all means enjoy. Pros: Beer Cons: BBQ more

Great Value, Great Food 6/19/2008

I enjoy going to Barley's whether I'm with my family or out with friends. They have a huge menu that's sure to have several options for even the pickiest foodie. My favorite is the Smokehouse Salad-- with Salmon or the mushroom cap. The beer is also fantastic. They have seasonal favorites but are always trying some new brews. Check out the Bombshell Blonde! The service is wonderful. Unlike chain restaurants these guys know their food and always have a very accurate and descriptive summary of the dishes. The best part is the price! Almost everything is under $10-- a rare find in our economy where resturants are all to quick to pass along food and fuel costs to their customers! Pros: Value, Ambience, Great choice for a night with the family OR with friends Cons: They have a big lunch rush, try going for dinner-- even on the weekends! more

Yummy BBQ 7/26/2006

This is a great local place to eat. The service was excellent, with our server coming over everytime our glasses were empty to refill, and keeping an eye on us while we were perusing the menu, and coming over the second we were ready to order. The Seegars were great for an appetizer, and so was the chicken and ribs combo. The sandwich combo with pulled pork, pulled chicken, and brisket was delicious as well. Excellent food - never a bad meal 2/26/2006

Always have great food here! The service staff is awesome too! We really like the chicken and rib combination with hot crispy fries and also love the Barley Burger with onion straws. Great and fast for take out service as well. Pros: Great Food, Fast, Hot Crispy fries more

Worth the wait. 12/25/2005

I agree with the other reviewers who complained about the service. Our server was absolutely clueless, and seemed to have a short-term memory of about 4 seconds. It took quite a while for our meals to appear too... Fortunately, the food was worth the wait. Husband's ribs and chicken were a BARGAIN at $12. My sandwich sampler was also extremely good. Delicious fries (more please!). The place is much better since the smoking ban was introduced. Even when we were smokers, it got a bit too much. Best Smoked/Grilled Chix Wings 10/16/2005

The Chix wings @ Barley's are the best I have ever had....and I have had a few in my time. These wings are like no other wings you will ever try, they are not deep fried so less fat for you health nuts. The other food is good to but I only go on Monday for the .33 cents wings. Pretty Good...Not Great 11/17/2002

I have to say that I really like the atmosphere of this place, and the service has always been very good. The food is pretty good, not great, and the portions can be lacking at times. The beer is very good, but the kind I ordered was warm every time (it was a light wheat beer, so it was not intended to be warm either). Great BBQ, Great Beer 6/18/2002

Second only to Barley's Ale House No. 1, the Smokehouse has more of a restaurant than a brewpub feel. They carry pretty much the same beer selection and the quality is the same so it stacks up just fine. I recommend the BBQ Chicken/Ribs combo platter and a Robert Burns Scottish Export if you are visiting. Pros: Beer selection more
