I had to go out of town suddenly one weekend and needed a place to board my dog. I didn't want to send him to any old, cold kennel, so when I found Barkley Square here on CitySearch, I knew I had found my solution. Al was great. He took the time to show me around the place and assured me that they were open on Sundays, so I wouldn't have to wait an extra day to pick up my pooch. They have separate play areas for big and small dogs, and they even have a cozy little room with three couches for all the pups to sleep on together. They may be a little pricier than your run-of-the-mill kennel, but if you want to make sure your dog has as good a time as you do (or maybe even better!), than I highly recommend Barkley Square. Pros: Staff, Amenities, Dog Heaven Cons: A little pricey, but ultimately worth it. more

We just want to say that our Yorshire Terrier was terrified of other dogs, and had never stayed in a kennel. We looked at many other kennels and none of them seemed as caring and loving as Barkley Squares. Within a few days they had our dog playing with the other dogs (small and large), barking and enjoying herself. We were so very happy that she was happy. Even though we were not with her, watching her on the dog cam (a camera that allowed us to see her and watch her anytime )--made it seem as if we were almost there. Watching her be so comfortable there made our worries go away and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that she was having fun too. Barkley Square has a loving , caring and professional staff. We feel we were lucky that we found Barkley Square and would definitely give them 5 stars! Pros: Clean, Very Caring &Professional staff, organized, safe Cons: I wished we lived closer to Barkley Square. But it is still worth the drive. more

Animal daycare, grooming and classes are all offerred at Barkley Square. This facility is large and offers clean play spaces for your pet. The rooms have web cams so you can sneak a peek of your pooch at play. Overnight boarding is available with a staff member(s) on site through the night. The owners are very helpful and are true animal lovers. I would not hesitate leaving my pets in their care. more
