Barkie Bow Wow's Pet Salon

I have a poodle mix that has always had a hard time being groomed but now accepts grooming and her price has actually gone down over the past year since she has been going here. Our boxer mix is a whacko with his nails beiing trimmed but they grind his nails and he has no problem with that! My other little Bichon Frise is a purebred but very old and he is treated like a little gem and is groomed as best as he can be, he has some skin issues. I love these groomers, the owner is kind to my special needs dogs and has brought the short bus dogs on board in no time at all. I think she's right: they just need some confidence. The price is right too, not over the top for handling ""special needs"" pets. more

I LOVE Barkie Bow Wows because they love my dog, Annabelle, and it shows! Annabelle is always excited to see them as they are her. Even when I call last minute, they always manage to make room for my dog! I have never hesitated a moment in regards to the level of care and attention that she receives! THE GOOD REVIEWS CAN'T BE REAL. DON""T DO IT!!!! This is not a true kennel, they have no outside area. If I could give no stars I would. I boarded my 2 dogs and it was horrible. First each dog doesn't get a bed and a toy. We brought our own beds and when they were returned they were full of another dogs urine. The guy who gave them back to me apologized. WOW. Also they were full of another dogs hair. There is no run, my dogs are pretty big so they were put in a 3 by 5 pen. But when I looked in the back most dogs where sleeping on the bare floor in what looked like make shift pens. The dogs only leave that small pen when they take them for a walk. They walk them and then feed them at 830am and 430pm, so when your dog eats its anywhere from 8 to 12 hrs before hes able to go to the bathroom outside of its sleeping area. I watched them walk the dogs the walk its less than 5 min. If you truly love your dog visit this place first, when you walk in you'll change your mind . We had no choice we were from out of town and called 5 other places and they were all booked. My wife cried when we left them there. more

Found this place on the internet. We always travel w/ our 3 French Bulldogs and we found the folks at BBW's to be quite accomodating to our pets' very demanding diets. They obviously love what they do here, and our pets were quite happy and comfortable to be there. We picked them up after they had been ""fluffed and puffed"" w/ Georgia Bulldog bandannas on! We will be back! more
