Sick Puppies! Nothing but problems 10/27/2011

I bought My puppy a week ago. While they look perfectly healthy in the display kennels, these DOGS are SICK! I bought a poodle puppy and since I took her home she has been lethargic and has had severe diarhea. We broght her to the vet and he said she had Ghiardia (an intestinal parasite. The vet said it's impossible to get rid of when they are in the pet store so if one Dog has it, you can bet they all do. So we have to give her medicine for ten days and the poor thing is vomitting now. What a pain in the arse! Didn't have any of these problems when I bought a dog from a trusty breeder. Buyer beware! more

Sick / Diseased French Bulldog 7/27/2010

I bought a French Bulldog from Bark Works at the Mission Viejo mall about 1 year 3 months ago and since I have had her, she has been sick and diseased. \r BEWARE, these dogs are not healthy.\r \r Right when I got my little Frenchie, she quickly became sick with Giardia, which took months to treat. Eventually, she developed terrible allergies. Today, she was diagnosed with cataracts (remember she is only 1 year, 3 months old)!! These dogs pay a terrible price being bred through puppy mills and their vet bills are endless, her cataract surgery will be about $5,000 and doesn't include all the drops she will need throughout her life. Don't purchase from this store unless you are willing to pay for pet insurance, you will need it! Buyer BEWARE of Bark Works at Mission Viejo mall!! Pros: Cute dogs Cons: Sick and diseased dogs more

Adopt don't shop for pets 1/9/2009

Could've been a puppy mill breed puppy. Put an end to puppy mills and do research when buying a puppy. Meet the breeders and the living conditions. It will save you the heartache and also help put an end to puppy mills or backyard breeders who don't know anything about good dog breeding. Cons: Continuing to support puppy mills more

Don't buy a puppy here, Giardia & kennel cough w/my puppy 4/21/2007

I bought a Cavelier King Charles from this store. I thought since I paid $2,000. for this puppy that they would run all needed health test and sell me a healthy. I took my puppy to recommened vet check that is provided by the store. They ran inferior stool sample test and didn't diagnose that my puppy had Giardia, which is a intestinal problem that causes plasma in stools and runny stools. I didn't get a correct diagnosis untill I took my puppy to different vet and they ran another stool sample and did a Giardia Snap IH test.\r Bottom line is they sold me a very sick puppy.
