Valerie is the SH*T!! She's absolutely amazing! I have never gone to anyone else, and I don't plan it. She's super quick, and a great read on personality. If you wanna be conversational she is, if you just wanna "get it done" she can do that too. She's the best!! more

Simply terrific! 12/28/2010

I'd never been waxed before and was terrified, but Val is fantastic. She made me laugh, but was very professional when it came time to get down to business. She did a great job of telling me what to expect. I recommend her highly! I first saw her in the spring and she is still the only waxer I would consider. more

the best place for a wax 5/6/2010

since it was my first time i was super nervous and did not know what to expect. but when i got there she answered all my questions and told me the process, i was not as nervous. she did a great job and made the experience less painful that i thought and it was very quick. it was not awkward at all and she did a very good job relaxing me and making it as painless as possible. i was extremely happy with my result. Awesome Job! Painless and personable 3/20/2010

Valerie really does take each appointment personally. I'm going back for a free touch up appointment in two weeks. I will continue seeing Valerie. First time waxer and the whole thing was painless! I've been waxing for a long time at fancy salons in Seattle and then Portland. Bare down there is by far the best wax I've had (and the cheapest-don't ask me how that works). Pros: Best wax and waxer around more

I’ve been going to Valerie for waxing for almost a year. She’s fabulous, has a comfortable studio space, uses top notch products, puts me at ease and even makes me laugh! I live in Portland, but her studio is a just quick hop on the freeway. I’ve recommended her to my friends, and I think you should give her a try. Pros: Excellent waxing! more

Bare Down There is the bestest!!! 2/24/2010

Valerie is the best waxologist around hands down!! (haha, is that even a real word??) She is so good at her craft, she makes you feel like you're right at home! Her humor and laid back personality make the experience so much better. She only uses high quality products and even with my sensitive skin, I didn't have any of the typical "after waxing" issues. I would recommend Valerie to anyone looking into waxing or looking for a great price. Go see her!! :-) Pros: Absolutely the best waxer around Cons: I wish I lived closer :-) more

Best waxing around! 2/23/2010

Before I met Valerie I never had a consistent waxer. The women always made me feel weird and uncomfortable about getting my Brazilian done. But Valerie was different, not only did she make me feel completely comfortable in a somewhat awkward situation but she does her job well. It’s nice not to go home and have to pluck missed hairs. She also is comfortable about taking special requests. I usually have her do a Brazilian and my eye brows. But I have a weird pet peeve about the hair on my toes, and when I asked her to do them she didn’t laugh and made me feel comfortable about it. Valerie is great at what she does and I’ll never need to go to a different waxer again. more

Great Waxing Experience, Great Prices! 2/23/2010

Valerie has to be the greatest waxer in Vancouver! A combination of her relaxed and friendly attitude as well as the calming atmosphere of her office instantly puts you at ease when getting waxed by her. Def. important when having someone yank hairs out of your body! All of this added with her very reasonable prices make Valerie the best option for anyone thinking about getting any sort of waxing service done. I would and have recommended Valerie to all of my friends! Pros: great price, great service, never been disapointed! Cons: not a thing come to mind more

Getting waxed is not on my top 10 list of entertainments. .. but since discovering Valerie and Bare Down There, it's moved up in ranking! I had always opted out of waxing due to the cost and the thought of the pain. Valarie has such fantastic prices I couldn't really use that excuse anymore. At my first waxing she put me at ease and made the process as comfortable as possible. I heart Bare Down There! more

More wax, less pain 2/22/2010

My previous waxing experiences haven't been great, usually kind of painful. Valerie uses Nufree which is great because it's a non wax wax. It doesn't stick to your skin so less pain and is safe for your body. I definately reccomend her to all my friends. I'll still go to her even when I move back to Portland! Pros: Great wax every time, less pain too! Cons: A bit of a drive if you live in Portland, but it's worth it! more

The best I have met yet! 2/21/2010

Valerie is very easy going and a joy to talk to which only eases the discomfort of the waxing anymore. I have very sensitive skin, but even with little aftercare, have little issues. Definitely who I would recommend to others, even those who are very weary. She is wonderful and the only one I will go to for any waxing now. Thanks a bunch Valerie!!
