Overview
Continue up Bard Creek Road, staying on the main road at all junctions. Pass a small lake and continue climbing. There are views toward Georgetown on your left. The road becomes rockier and steeper as you ascend.
The Experience
At 2.5 miles, enter the Arapahoe National Forest. Stay on the road as you cross a section of private land. Pass a large mine on your right and continue to the end of the road at the Bard Creek Trailhead. Join the trail and ride along a singletrack, which grows to doubletrack as you enter a meadow. The trail fades somewhat and becomes very hard to follow when it enters a section of dense forest. Return as you came from the point where the trail begins to disappear.
