In Short
The Harley-Davidson tradition runs deep in the Pierce family, dating back to its early days of riding in the 1940s and the opening of its first shop in 1957. Pappy, Whiz and Eleanor Pierce opened the museum as an expression of their affection for Harley-Davidsons. An expansion on the outskirts of DeKalb allows the family to share their enthusiasm of the Harley-Davidson experience with more visitors.
