A nice place to get book for kids 1/11/2006

Bank Street is associated with Teachers' College at Columbia University. In a neighborhood bustling full of college and graduate level age students with professors and all kinds of adults, it's unusaul and refreshing to find the Bank Street Bookstore. It's a place where you can find books for children and you'll always be treated well by the friendly staff. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the neighborhood. You won't be disappointed. more

Best children's bookstore in NYC! 9/4/2005

I love this place. It is located on the corner of B'way and 112th Street. It's a decent size, plenty large for me to push my stroller inside. The books are well organized and priced right, and there is a good selection. The staff is always friendly. There is an incentive where you buy a certain number of books and then get a percentage of your total off of a future purchase. I believe that they also do a story hour. Great place for the litte ones! more

Great Selection of Children's and Teaching Books 8/21/2005

Bank Street Book Store is located next to Bank Street College. The selection here may be the best in the area. They offer a vast selection of children's books as well as books for teachers. The staff is also highly knowledgeable and helpful . Join their bookclub and get a certain percentage off of the books that you buy. They also have some educational videos and posters. more

Columbia Area Children's Book Store 7/27/2005

Bank Street Book Store is related to a Teacher's College and therefore hs a wide range of children's books and educational materials. The staff is top drawer and can help you find books that will challenge your children without boring them and turning them off to reading. A great book store in a city full of book stores. I highly recommend this store. more

One Of Best Kids Book Stores 7/9/2005

Bank Street College is a top notch Teaching College and connected to it is this tremendous children's book shop. They have everything that's in print. It's a clean stylish store and the selection is second to none. Theonly store that comes close is Books Of Wonder downtown. Make sure you see the upstairs which has even more books than the downstairs and is easy to miss. This is a highly recommended shop if you are looking for a gift for a child. more
