The Bank of Georgia commenced operations on February 18, 2000 in Fayetteville, Ga. The bank now operates additional banking offices in Peachtree City, Tyrone and Newnan, Ga., with assets that exceed $250 million. Its commercial and retail banking business focuses on the needs of individuals and small- to medium-sized businesses. The bank offers a variety of personal and business banking solutions, such as checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit and online banking, as well as lending services, including home mortgages and consumer loans. Bank of Georgia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Georgia Bancshares, which is headquartered in Peachtree City.
