Not just Saturday and Wednesday 5/13/2010

Don't believe the hype! Bahn's Cuisine is simply wonderful ANY day of the week. I took the advice of many reviews and went on a Wednesday (for my first time), and for a while I would only go Wednesdays or Saturdays, but finally one Monday afternoon I decided to try something from their "normal" menu. I tried "Basil Tofu" (you can get this with chicken if you prefer), and I fell in love. Since then, I'll go any day of the week, and try anything on the menu. So far, I haven't ate anything I didn't enjoy, and I go at least once a month, sometime as much as once a week. Do yourself a favor and try them out. They only take cash, but you'll only need $6 or $7 anyways. more

Local Favorite, go on Sat or Wed 11/30/2008

Bring cash and come on Wed/Saturday when they have the Vietnamese Specials. This is more like Vietnamese home cooking, it is kid friendly and a favorite of the locals. On Wed/Saturday come early or late to avoid the lunch rush as competition fro tables is fierce. more

This is a local favorite. Go on Saturday or Wednesday and order off the "Vietnamese Specials". It is cash only but a great meal can be had for under $7 and a family of 5 for under $30. This isn't your typical high brow type place, it is more like Vietnamese home cooking. On Wed, Saturday come early or late as there is usually a competition for seating. more

Pretty much perfect 7/9/2005

Bahn's is one of my favorite places to eat in the Triangle. I live in Raleigh and work in Chapel Hill, but have no problem driving to Durham after work to grab a bite. The menu is pretty simple, with some standard Chinese offerings and a few Vietnamese dishes, but they really shine on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when they offer more authentic Vietnamese dishes, like my favorite, lemon grass shrimp over noodles. Almost everything is under $5; you will be unable to believe that food this good can be so cheap, or vice-versa. They only accept cash, so stop by an ATM before you go. more
