This is Thai food the way it was meant to be. All the food is reasonably priced, the atmosphere is chic and modern, and the food is delicious. Be forewarned, though. When they ask how spicy you want it, they are not kidding around. I asked for spicy. And they said ""Thai"" spicy is different than American spicy. Okay, sure, I know spicy. Give me a little less spicy, then. Dang! There's wasn't enough Thai ice tea to ease the spice from my mouth. So, if you like Thai food, you will love this. And if you love spicy, make sure you measure you're spiciness levels on the conservative side. more

best thai in astoria 1/16/2010

I've never had a bad meal here. their noodle dishes are always amazing, their sea food is fresh, and their vegetable dishes have so much flavor. the staff is nice and very accommodating. best sticky rice ive ever had. love the eggplant thai chili basil and their pad thai is the best ive ever had. the pad see ew is to die for. the salmon dish is also incredible. you wont regret this place.? this place blows away thai elephant and thai pavillion! it really is the best! more

Absolute Best Thai Food I Have Found in NYC! 8/16/2009

The chefs/owners are thai. The prices are incredibly reasonable. I always order the green curry and the thai chili basil. I have eaten at a bunch of thai places both in the area, in woodside, and in the city and have consistently found this one to be the best. The flavors of the sauces are always potent and delectable! I highly reccommend this restaurant! Pros: amazing everything, especially the green curry! more

The Closest thing, to the REAL thing: Ever since my excursion to Thailand, I've been on a mission to find Authentic Thai food. BANKOK TASTY is the best thai food I've had since my trip. Truly Fantastic! The Lunch special prices are AWESOME! Pad Thai Lunch, Panang Curry Lunch, Plus a Thai Iced Tea for $15!!! SERIOUSLY?!?! The spice level is much higher than most americans are used to. So be fore warned! You will LOVE this food. more
