Worst

It is cash only, which I did not know upfront and they did not tell me (who carries $80 in cash?). The workmanship is not worth it. One of my suit jacket sleeves was completely me...

Bangkok OK 8/19/2008

I had a women's suit jacket altered there- the fit turned out okay but was still a little big in the waist. They did not reattach the jacket's lining very thoroughly and ""stole"" the suit hanger from my jacket and returned it with a crappy hanger instead. Being cash only was problematic, too. To have the waist taken in and the sleeves lengthened was $35. Pros: price, proximity Cons: not very thorough work more

We have been happy with a number of items made for us at row bangkok tailor, . Contact is with Aron - who has always been helpful and obliging. Recently had 2 suits and 12 shirts made for husband, and a cashmere suit made for son, who was not with us - only minor alterations required at home. Very reasonable prices, compared to other bad experience we have had. Has also made cashmere, leather and silk/linen jackets for other family members. My *New* Favorite Tailor 10/7/2007

The simple truth is - there are a lot of reasons why people pass up Bangkok Tailor - for example, it's cash only and the store front is, frankly, an eyesore.\r But if you passed on this gem of a store, you'd be missing out. The management is friendly and aims to please. The location is great - on Ponce within minutes of midtown. The prices are beyond reasonable. And most importantly, their finished product (in my case suit pants) is superbly tailored. In the end, my pants were a better fit... and looked to be in better condition (with the hems & lines) than when I'd first bought them.\r So when it comes right down to it... I'd definitely recommend Bangkok Tailor to any friend. I've got a new favorite tailor. And they've now got a new customer for life. more

Loyal for Life 3/9/2007

In advance of my first visit, a referring friend warned: ""Don't panic when you walk in the door, and carry cash."" Not exactly encouraging, but after looking past the cluttered store front and seeing their consistent quality work--I, too, now swear by Bangkok. I regularly trust them to shorten my latest pair of Citizens or Sevens. They take special care to finish by returning the original hem so you keep the style, whether frayed or tidy. So it's cash only--get over it!! ATMs are everywhere--including the parking lot! No need to draw more than the fast-cash minimum. . .the prices are very reasonable. more

It is cash only, which I did not know upfront and they did not tell me (who carries $80 in cash?). The workmanship is not worth it. One of my suit jacket sleeves was completely messed up and the suit was not altered to fit properly. I picked my suit up the same time as a woman picking up her jeans, which were also not done correctly (the hem was wavy and poorly done). The inside of the place is sketchy, which doesn't help. Pros: None really; the price seemed reasonable enough Cons: Cash only; hole-in-the-wall shop; poor job on alterations more

Shabby store, but great service. 7/12/2005

This is definitely a hole in the wall, but the people who run it are just the sweetest ever. I had a suit and a gown altered there for much less than others charge. Be warned though - it is cash only. Pros: Top Quality, Kind Owners, Location Cons: Cash Only, Shabby Inside more
