One day my 7 year old dog starting having problems with his eyes rolling back. Fearing for his sight my husband and I took him to Banfield. They did some testing on him, and about 300$ later they determined that he had an ear infection, gave him medicine, and we went on our way. A few days later his eyes completely glossed over and he was blind. It looked as though he had glacoma even though they tested him for it and said his eyes were "healthy" he went on living a few more years until his eye was just horrible and my husband and I had to make the hard decision to let him go. I will NEVER give one more dollar of my money to Banfield or Petsmart in citrus park! and I would love to give them neg. stars !!! more

Heartbreaking experience 4/20/2010

A kitty showed up in our yard one day so I took her to Banfield Citrus Park to see if she had a microchip. She didn't so I decided to have her groomed and adopted. A rabies shot was required so I took her to Banfield for a shot on 5/4/09. A few weeks later a swelling developed between her shoulder blades. Another vet at this location diagnosed her with a vaccine site sarcoma. Note: The injection of the rabies vaccine in this area is against protocol as the tendency for cats to develop sarcomas in response in this area has been known since 1991. I had her examined by two independent vets. The consensus was not if the tumor could be removed but when it would reoccur. The tumor spread rapidly and I had to euthanize her on October 26th, 2009. I would like to rate them "0" stars. more

If you don't mind dealing with the craziness of PetSmart, Banfield is a great choice for a Vet. I like them because they offer packages of treatment for new pets. For a monthly fee (cost varies depending on the animal) you get years worth of vaccinations, shots, checkups and visits. It also includes the price of a spay or neuter. It?s a great way to go if you are adopting or planning on a new pet. (PetSmart has adoptions on Saturdays FYI) It?s also nice because they have grooming services on site too, so you can get your pal a checkup, grooming and food supplies all at once. PROS: All in one CONS: Sometimes crowded more
