We signed up for the wellness plan, which at first sounded like a good deal. We're now commited to $1000 over the year for a couple basic checkups, which make me question the deal. \r

However, we took a dog in for a hot spot she was chewing at. They needed to shave the area, give her some steroids and antibiotics, and get her a "lampshade" to keep her from messing with it. When they called to let me know how much all this would cost me, it was right at $300! That's WITH the wellness discount! I called our vet we had always used until recently and told them everything that was needed to treat her. Their price? Around $50. \r

Needless to say we cancelled treatment with Banfield.\r

PROS: Nice staff, clean, up-to-date with modern technology (everything computerized - nice, easy to read printouts, scripts, etc)\r
\r
CONS: You pay out the nose for it.
