KILLED MY BABY! 9/14/2011

Please if you love your pet NEVER ever go here!! I brought my beloved dog for a simple procedure... I later was told by my new amazing vet that this procedure was NOT even needed for my dog! DR FLORES could care less about my boy all he cared about was money! He claimed he needed an emergency surgery for simple kidney stones that could have been passed he butchered my poor boy sending him home to me and when I realized he was in agonizing pain I called DR FLORES and he said it was ok that I was just worrying and that their offices were almost closed to call back 2morrow if it continued! 2morrow was to late.. My dog suffered and died in front of my face in pain it was so unfair! Worse of all is that i tried to contact DR flores the nxt day HE WOULD not return my call I WAS put on hold!! and then he HAD THE NERVE TO SAY I WILL give You a free AUTOPSY!!! WTH?! really!! MY baby was gone!!! I literally had to go wait in the office so he would finally see me!! He doesn't deserve to have a vet license!!! This happened to me here some years back BUT I was never able to write or talk about it until NOW!! I just cant imagine anyone going through this!! So please be careful!! DONT GO TO chain veterinarians look for people that truly love what they do, independently owned!! People that really have a passion for animals... There are STILL good people out there!! Dont risk your pets life!! more

To catch a Theif 7/3/2011

Banfield in Corona CA, was a very nice place with Dr Flores, very empathic Dr but the new guy Dr Gregory something is a thief. He will gouge every last penny from you because he is riding on your affection for your pet. He does not care about the animal and only cares about how much he can steal from the pet owner. For a $40 procedure he will charge hundreds of dollars. He has a chip on his shoulder because he is trying to prove to other doctors that he knows, that he can make more money than the Dr's who are treating people. more

nice people, but expensive procedures & unnecessary costs 1/11/2011

The Veterinarian and Tech were very nice & they did a good job of explaining the treatment options for my cat, but if your pet needs anything other than a check-up, get a second opinion at another vet. The problem is that Banfield is out to make as much money as possible - they try to enroll you in their ""Wellness Program"" for $200-$400/yr to make things more ""affordable"". Another vet did a full dental exam/cleaning, extracted 2 teeth & drained a cyst for about $160 total (incl. take-home meds). I took her to Banfield because of the cyst but they also wanted to extract 2 more teeth (that alone cost $270, not including things like meds/anesthesia). I left with 2 pages of itemized costs for over $1000. Everything was a separate charge: surgical instruments/gloves/gowns, x-ray interpretation, medical waste disposal... I've never seen charges for things like this in my previous experience. They seem to be well trained in adding on costs for completely unnecessary procedures and medication. They wanted to give my cat pain meds after draining the cyst (injection AND take-home). Her last vet didn't seem to think pain meds were necessary the last time she had the same procedure done, and she doesn't seem to even notice anything is wrong... I would know if she was in pain, but they made me feel a little guilty about wanting to opt out of those meds & a $200 fluid analysis. They are good at upselling/adding on services & products, then they try to convince you to enroll in the Wellness Program to save on costs. Unfortunately it seems to be the big corporation that makes their employees do this... I would probably go back to the veterinarian if he didn't work there. more
