Really fast delivery & great food. I moved from NYC a few months ago - Bandung would have made my top 3 list there. The food has a home-cooked quality to it, but unless you're married to a professional chef Bandung is better. Unlike most takeout the food seems healthy and the portion sizes are sane, though if you like fried food their wings appetizer is delicious. Though I don't like fish I find myself craving the Mahi Mahi dish. A warning though: not everyone will enjoy Indonesian food. The majority of people I've taken would be happy to go back, several can't get enough, and some just didn't enjoy the cuisine. It seems to correlate with how adventurous an eater you are. more

They Forgot to Deliver some of the Food which paid for, I realized it but since I had a meeting to go for I could not follow up on this. (Actually this has happened many times from Bandung). Yesterdays Delivery they forgot one "Mango Necture Drink" and 2 order of "Lumpia". Just wanted to keep you guys posted so that this kind of things does not happend in the future. more

Food was amazing. We don't order out a lot where I work for lunch and when we do it's chineese, mexican or subs. I thought we should be adventurous and try somewhere we have never tried before. Go glad we chose Bandung the food was so good and everyone that ordered can't wait to order from there again. Looking forward to next time and the leftovers are never going to make it to lunch tomorrow there wont be any. :) more

Nice, intimate dining 1/10/2008

I was looking for a restaurant that would cater to my ""try anything"" taste and my girlfriend's vegetarian preference. This place fit the bill perfectly! The food was good and served in ample sizes, but not so much that we felt stuffed. The menu had an entire large section just for vegetarians (as opposed to just a few token entrees) as well as sections devoted to those of us who are carnivores. The appetizers were also varied. And being naive to many Indonesian dishes, the waitstaff was incredibly polite and informative about each dish (and how to eat it when it was clear I was being a clutz). True Indonesian food and fusion dishes 6/18/2007

This restaurant is run and owned by an Indonesian family that came here from Bandung. It started in 2000 with a very small menu, but now even serves a Rijsttafel menu nightly. Pros: Great Indonesian food, serves signature cocktails, great artwork Cons: Parking more

Best Restaurant Ever 10/14/2005

Five stars. Simply the best. Tons of vegan and veg, though everybody else is in love with the chicken skewers. Make their own tempe! Great for large groups or just one or two. Half ot the menu is to diiiiie for divinely delicious, and the other half is better than most Madison Thai places can offer. Learn the menu like the back of your hand and you will be well-rewarded with a very, very, very happy mouth and belly. Tell Julie (co-owner, and often hostess) that Beth and Lola sent you, and that we say hi.
