I have used Doug Ballard for two customs so far and they have both turned out to be fantastic. As well, he is currently working on a third for me. His work is precise, punctual, and flat out astonishing! As far as the review above I would like to point out, as a former Sterling Jewelers employee, that unless the diamond is certified through one of the diamond grading companies such as GSI, there is no way an employee of Jared's can accurately confirm without a doubt that diamonds have been switched. In fact, if they informed a guest of this they must show proof that the diamond was plotted beforehand. Another point being that Ballard Jewelers has access to much higher valued diamonds than anything that Jareds would have on the showroom. I have no idea what happened with the last review but I can say as a former employee of Sterling Jewelers that unless the diamond is certified through GSI, or another diamond grading institution, there is no fool prove way of confirming diamonds have been switched. In fact Ballard Jewelers is able to obtain diamonds that are worth far more than anything you will find inside a Jarods. more

He gets one star for being a great liar. He kept my ring for months and always had an excuse as to why it was not ready. Doug Ballard took my ring and removed the diamonds and replaced them with fakes and made a different setting and thought I wouldn't notice it. I returned the ring to Jared where it was purchased and they affirm it was not the same ring I purchased and he removed the real stones. more
