Balboa Park Home Preschool

We took our twin boys to Balboa Park Preschool and Home Day Care for about two years. My boys are now five years old and have been away from this daycare for a while and they STILL talk about it. In fact they have been bugging me to go back for a visit to see their teachers. I found it to be a great environment for our boys, they loved their teachers, their friends, the hikes to the canyon, the animals that live there and they learned a lot. What else can you ask from a place that you are trusting with the most precious entities you have? I also liked the fact that they are vegetarians and fed the boys foods they still eat to this day. For example tofu, broccoli, and greens. I feel that because they were eating these foods at school that we had an easier time getting them to continue to eat them at home. I would recommend this preschool to anyone. more

Great place--highly recommend it! Merhebani is a wonderful director who has been very accommodating on several levels. Our daughter has been there for six months now and has loved it from the start. She often cries when I pick her up as she wants to stay longer. We like that there are never more than 12 kids so it feels like each child is getting a good amount of attention and instruction. Our daughter always brings an age-appropriate craft home that she made that day is always proud to show it off. She is also talking and signing at a higher level than when she started. The instructors take the kids for a walk in the park daily and there is a good amount of time spent in the play yard so our daughter (who has a ton of energy) is pretty calm by the end of the day. We look forward to having her there for a few more years. --Stacie more
