I wish I could say better things. I ALWAYS try the French bakeries/cafes (not a French national, just love some of their food) and most locally are, unfortunately, disappointing. I always get a sample of savory and sweet to judge. And I need to know/taste my food is made FRESH every day. Well, this place didn't have the freshest items. Perhaps the French tolerate baked goods that are a few days old. Perhaps these transplants think this is acceptable in America. IDKnow. But I DO know that if you want FRESH BAKED GOODS try Doris' Italian Bakery. Yes, they are Italian, not French but I have NEVER had a stale item from their bakeries. And, in fact, their sandwich cookies are a REVELATION and a gift from God (I have a weakness for little treats, thank \r
you, God). Also, don't miss their Cassata cake, babarum, biscotti, hell, ANY bakery item. Look, I am not even a part owner in ANY of their stores, though I wish I was. I'm sorry if the French bakeries aren't cutting it but I want FRESH FOOD!
